Lil' Rubber Arms at the Zoo!

Hi everyone -- Hope you've had a great Labor Day's Weekend!

If you haven't gotten yourself down to Lincoln Park Zoo, please go. And soon. Because right now there's a baby white checked gibbon that is growing up way too fast, but who is -- I kid you not -- absolutely adorable. You can't stop watching. He moves so fast, climbs on everything (including mom, dad and everything else) that he's an amazing show.

Slideshow was taken from the inside part of the exhibit, but this guy goes outside too. My little camera couldn't snap fast enough.

this morning: a coyote at Lincoln Park Zoo (photo)

Here's what I saw this morning at the Lincoln Park Zoo. Yup, that's a coyote in pretty much downtown-ish Chicago.

What a day: a snowstorm, an earthquake (woke at 4am and thought the world's largest snowplow was passing...and passing and passing) and a coyote spotting. Was that coyote rattled awake too?
