Soybeans! I love edamame! (sp?) And the pears have been amazing -- particularly fragrant and sweet. Yum!
I'm thinking about doing a week long project where I blog all the meals I make from this fresh produce and see how close I can come to cleaning out the fridge. So I show you what I've got to use up and then I show the meals I've made.
I've actually wanted to read other blogs where they show what they bought and how they cook with all this produce because I'm sure we've all got tricks -- recipes that allow us to use up the stuff that's close to going over the hill, etc.
Any interest? (Hey, even if there's not much interest, I may just do it for myself.)
By the way, condiments don't count! Those stick around in my fridge forever. Please don't tell me this is bad for me -- I don't want to know. Really.

Don't miss the plums at the Farmer's Market. There are lots of varieties, and when you cut them open they look like jewels! (Which begs the question: WHY should you eat jewels? Didn't your mother tell you not to?) But analogy aside: they taste amazing. And last year -- if I remember right -- we didn't have much in the way of plums. This year is a plum year so take advantage folks! Take advantage! I recommend Seedlings at the Green City Market. By the zoo on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
