pina bausch -- wow

Holy Toledo folks. That's probably the first time that's ever been said about German choreographer Pina Bausch, but did you know about this choreographer? Good grief -- this is intense. 

I ran across a clip of this choreography in Almodovar's movie, Talk to Her. (Movie is fabulous too -- check it out. Has a female bullfighter who is afraid of snakes and two women in comas -- not your typical story, believe me.)

The dancer has her eyes closed, is in deep grief, and the man tries to keep her from running into chairs (which seems about all he's able to do).

Whew.

I've been in both places.

yes, I remember this, and the main actor in the audience in the film balling his eyes out !
great film, like most of Almodovar's
